This was a long one. About 5 miles round trip. We went at around 2pm and it was hot. The scenery and views are similar to the other ridge hikes in this area but this trail is unique. Towards the end of the hike, the trail turns into a long series of dirt stairs that take you to the top.
I didn’t get too many good shots on this hike. In fact, I think the views are much better from Mariner’s Ridge since that one is closer to the ocean. But, this hike is challenging so it’s fun none the less.
You can see just how long this hike is in this photo. If you follow the ridge towards the ocean you can barely make out the housing community at the end. That’s far.
Coming back down the hike, the sun was setting. Another view that never gets old.
